"Thanks, this is my first experience with Seagate data recovery and all I can say is I'm astounded as to how excellent the company is run. You have gone the extra mile each step of the way to ensure the absolute highest level of customer service, and I'm proud to say, in my position, I deal with manufacturers all over the world on a daily basis and none, NOT ONE even come close."

i365, A Seagate Company, offers comprehensive, reliable data migration that help you cost-effectively manage the impact of switching storage platforms, and maintain business continuity in the process. We make it easy to consolidate disparate media to a common format and type.

Benefits

  • Manage legacy data cost-effectively
  • Easily access formerly difficult-to-reach data
  • Ensure business continuity

Data Migration is the process of transferring data between storage types, formats, or computer systems. It is often required when organizations change computer systems or upgrade to new systems. Usually, specialized software tools are used to automate migrations. In the process, legacy data stored in out-of-date or obsolete formats is evaluated, indexed, and de-duplicated. Then it is migrated to newer, more cost-effective and reliable media.

If your business maintains legacy data on tapes or other outmoded media, we can move it to disk drives, making it much more accessible and reliable, better indexed, and more cost-effective to store.

We utilize a four-step process to migrate your data:

  1. Working with you, we evaluate your media and determine your requirements. We can access data from any brand or type of media. We decide on the target media for delivering your data including disk or other formats.
  2. We then migrate your data from its original sources and, as necessary, recover data from damaged media, restoring individual files.
  3. Your data is indexed and de-duplicated, and unnecessary files are purged to reduce your storage footprint.
  4. Data is delivered to you on new storage media and is ready for accessing.
